Culture and Heritage
The rich diversity of heritage in Anini-y contributes a unique wealth to Antique’s heritage. Modernization is unavoidable in every society. Thus, it should not overshadow the importance of heritage as a trajectory to development and social stability for the present and future generations. At present, some traditional solutions remain unequaled in terms of efficiency. Some are particularly ingenious and deserve consideration in solving today’s challenges. In preserving heritage, the community and the Local Government of Anini-y are mandated to protect and valorized its heritage that represents the core of their collective identity. Heritage is nearly always related to the concept of territory, in both the geographical and cultural entity. In many traditions, nature is perceived to have a soul, and it must be considered in land use planning. A community is associated with the cultural heritage passed down from generation to generation. It makes it possible for them to place themselves within a timelessness, confers distinctive characteristics to a given place, and constitutes the foundation in constructing a shared cultural identity.
